Help raise funds for Carol Stream parade at Red Apple Pancake House June 3
On Saturday, June 3, have breakfast or lunch and help raise funds for the 2023 Carol Stream Independence Day Parade.
The Carol Stream Independence Day Parade Committee will hold a "Family Food Fundraiser" on Saturday, June 3 at the Red Apple Pancake House and Restaurant, 414 S. Schmale Road in Carol Stream. The restaurant is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The parade committee will receive 10% of the pretax bill.
Flyers are not needed. Red Apple Pancake House and Restaurant will donate 10% of the receipts for the day to the Parade Committee. Either dine-in or takeout.
The 2023 Carol Stream Independence Day Parade will step off at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 1, heading east on Lies Road, from County Farm Road to the Ross Ferraro Town Center. The annual parade will have the theme, "Together We Can Make A Difference."
Past parades have featured the Jessie White Tumblers, the Doonaree Pipe Band, the Glenbard North Marching Band, the St. Andrew's Pipes and Drums, the South Shore Drill Team, the Lowdown Brass Band, the Ghostbusters Chicago Division, the 144th Army National Guard Band, the Barefoot Hawaiians, the Great Lakes Navy Band, Chicago Samba, Shrine units, and many other bands, marchers and community groups.
The Carol Stream 4th of July Parade Committee is a group of volunteers who organize the annual parade. They work on the parade throughout the year. For more information on the parade or to volunteer to help the committee, visit www.carolstreamparade.com.
Later on Saturday, come back to the Ross Ferraro Town Center, 960 N. Gary Ave., for the village's Independence Day fireworks at 7 p.m. Hillbilly Rockstarz will perform from the gazebo stage starting at 7 p.m. Food truck concessions and frozen custard sales begin at 6 p.m.
