Starbucks reopens in downtown Naperville

After months of being closed for renovations, a former Starbucks Reserve in downtown Naperville has reopened as a traditional Starbucks coffee house.

Located at 203 S. Main St., the Starbucks Reserve closed in September and remained shuttered until opening its doors again Friday morning to offer its best-known core menu items.

An email from the company's public relations team confirmed the shift.

"We are proud to be a part of the community and excited to serve our customers again at this location," the email stated.

The downtown Starbucks moved in 2017 a few doors down Jefferson Avenue to the Main Street location.

In 2021, the location closed for about a month to transform into what was, at the time, one of only six Starbucks Reserve locations in the world, including one along the Magnificent Mile in Chicago.

Starbucks Reserve offers rare coffee selections with customized menus. The Naperville location developed into a specialty cafe offering Italian fare, including pizza.

In addition to hot and cold drinks, the current menu includes usual Starbucks food items such as hot breakfasts, lunch sandwiches and desserts.

According to the Starbucks website, the location is open 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
