Crafts, Drafts & Curiosities returns to Bubblehouse Brewing July 15

Bubblehouse Brewing in Lisle is announcing the return of its popular Crafts, Drafts & Curiosities Market for its summer edition. The event, organized in partnership with the Streetz Artz Alliance, will take place on Saturday, July 15, from noon to 6 p.m. at Bubblehouse Brewing's taproom, 2121 Ogden Ave., Unit A in Lisle.

Crafts, Drafts & Curiosities Summer Edition is a carefully curated market, featuring over twenty talented artists and makers. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of handmade items, including artisanal jewelry, soaps & balms, vintage treasures, rare finds, and much more. This market truly offers a collection like no other and has something for everyone's taste and style.

"We are excited to host another edition of our 'Crafts, Drafts & Curiosities Art Fair & Makers Market' in the Bubblehouse Brewing Taproom! The first one we held in Spring was so much fun and a huge success!" expressed Evan Nimke, Taproom Manager at Bubblehouse Brewing. "Supporting our local community is a big focus for Bubblehouse Brewing! Beer brings people together and we love utilizing our taproom space in a variety of fun and creative ways to not just bring people together but also support our community and other small businesses as much as possible!"

With a recently released beer called Tiny Gorges, a Session West Coast IPA, patrons can expect a refreshing brew that perfectly complements the lively atmosphere of the event.

Adding to the excitement, Boombox Burgers, a family-owned pop-up burger business renowned for their made-to-order smash burgers with "boom" sauce, will be on-site serving up delicious burgers and their own brand of fries. The perfect culinary complement to a day of shopping and sipping.

The market will feature a diverse array of artists and vendors, including tarot reader, caricature artist, and a variety of unique artisans. From the horror-inspired home decor of Moonlight BEEN to the inedible multimedia art of None of This Is Cake, attendees can expect an eclectic mix of creativity and craftsmanship.

"We are excited to come to Bubble house for the second time. The ambience of this brewery is fantastic. The clientele that attended the previous show were down to earth, friendly people that appreciate high quality hand craftsmanship," shared Drew Katchmar, owner of DK Custom Woodwork Company.

The success of the first event held in April 2023 has motivated the organizers to deliver an even more exceptional event this time around. With over half of the artists being new to the market, attendees can anticipate fresh and exciting offerings.

Brenda M Moore, owner of Masterclass Savory & Sweet Foods and one of the makers in the event, said, "First time there, I'm excited!" Moore makes a variety of baked goods including tequila cake, large cookies and savory and sweet nut varieties.

Kristi "FivePage" Caccippio, owner of None of This Is Cake and also an artist in the market, said, "So excited to be back at Bubblehouse!" Caccippio can be found in the same window spot as last time as it turned out the natural sunlight made her display brilliant, more eye catching than usual.

None of This Is Cake features Caccippio's inedible works of multimedia art, which are heavily inspired by nature, food, and animals. Her glass art frequently features sustainably sourced botanicals and ephemera.

Caccippio spends her nine-to-five work days creating edible art that is eaten faster than it takes to make it. None of This is Cake is her chance to make art that won't mold or rot away within a few weeks of creation.

"I don't mean to be coy, but there'll be a new toy," cleverly stated Timothy Loatman, owner of Legacy & Lore Toys, one of the artists in the event. This artist is well known for their articulating dragons, beholders and other three dimensional printed and painted items.

This market is an opportunity for art enthusiasts, craft lovers, and beer aficionados to come together and enjoy a delightful day of shopping, sipping, and supporting local talent.

"So excited to be here with this killer lineup," commented Wicked Fun Crafts in one of the social media posts from the brewery. They are one of two artists selling candles in the event. Despite having two candle makers in the event, you will be surprised to know these two makers couldn't be any more different from each other: different vessels, different smells and different but great vibes. Curation and minimal overlap is an important element of all Streetz Artz Alliance Shows.

The summer edition promises to be a delightful, fun-filled day for the whole family. The brewery will open its outdoor patio to provide additional seating, ensuring a relaxing atmosphere even if the taproom gets busy.

Parking is available on-site, and overflow parking is conveniently located at the Lisle Township Food Pantry on 4711 Indiana Avenue in Lisle.
