The Windy City Collectors BDC presents: A Barbie Movie Premiere Party

Classic Cinema Elk Grove Theatre - Friday, July 21st, 6pm

I am sure you have all caught the buzz for the Barbie Movie opening this Friday, July 21st. You can bet the Windy City Collectors have. And as befitting the Most Beautiful Doll in the World, we have rented an entire theatre just for club members to attend opening night!

As one of the oldest and most active doll clubs in the country, we recently celebrated our 30 year Pearl anniversary. Our Founding member Julie Bronski founded the club in 1992. The Windy City Collectors actively participates in the National Barbie® Doll Collectors Convention, which many of our members just returned from in Orlando Florida. Our club also had the honor and distinction of hosting the National convention right here in Chicago in 2022. During this year's convention we were privileged to hear all about the concept, design and themes for the upcoming movie from industry executives. Our members cover a wide range of doll enthusiasts, who are beyond excited to attend this magnificent event.

We are so excited to be able to experience this in our own theatre just for club members and their families. We are turning this into a premiere event with a before party, surprises and of course, seeing the movie itself. We plan to dress in our Barbie finest, and bring our treasured dolls and family members with us to enjoy this special once in a life time occasion. I am very pleased to be working with such an accommodating theatre, the Classic Cinema Elk Grove.
