Nicor Gas' Meena Beyers named a Notable Leader in Sustainability by Crain's Chicago Business

Nicor Gas Vice President of Community & Business Development Meena Beyers has been named a 2023 Notable Leader in Sustainability by Crain's Chicago Business.

Meena is listed among 66 Chicagoland executives who were nominated for their leadership role in making a measurable impact on the environment through their efforts. Meena is the organizer behind the Nicor Gas Smart Neighborhood - which, partnered with Fox Valley Habitat For Humanity, is demonstrating net-zero-energy and carbon-neutral affordable housing.

Beyers has worked for three years on the project, collaborating with researchers, industry partners, community members and nonprofits. She also serves as a board member of the Metropolitan Planning Council, Intersect Illinois and the Women's Energy
