You can still register for fall classes at MCC

There's still time to take the next step toward your educational or career goals by enrolling in the fall semester at McHenry County College, which begins Aug. 14.

The college offers a variety of career and technical programs, associate degrees, and dozens of classes that easily transfer.

"One of the best things about MCC is the flexibility we offer - not just in terms of class schedules and delivery, but in tailoring an experience to each of our students," said Amy Carzoli, director of enrollment services at MCC.

"Our small class sizes allow students to connect with their instructors and receive individualized support. And we have so many other resources available outside of the classroom - student success coaches who can help you navigate the college experience, advisers who can create class schedules and provide guidance on your future goals, plus career services, tutoring, and more. We're committed to doing everything we can to help our students achieve success."

The college is offering new programs in criminal justice this fall, including certificates in policing, computer forensics, emergency dispatcher, and general criminal justice. All certificates are stackable, meaning they count toward the criminal justice AAS degree if students choose to continue their studies.

Several rarely offered classes are also available this fall, such as an in-person version of women's history and several classes in Spanish, including advanced Spanish.

"It's easy to get started," said Carzoli. "Students can apply online or contact a new student enrollment coach with any questions about classes or programs. We welcome anyone who has been thinking about going back to school, changing or leveling up in their career, or gaining a new skill."

In addition to already offering college education at a fraction of the cost of a four-year school, MCC offers a variety of scholarships, grants, and payment plans to help students pay for school. Financial resources can be found at www.mchenry.edu/payingforcollege.
