Stay Sharp, Stay Connected: Free Courses Offered

The members of the Institute for Continued Learning (ICL) are offering "A Taste of ICL 2023," providing a complimentary opportunity for senior nonmembers to join in attending an Ice Cream Social and Art Fair at 3:15 PM on August 16, and 2-hour educational classes at 9:30 AM and 1 PM, September 19 to October 5. Registration begins August 7. These events are located at the Schaumburg Roosevelt University Campus, 1400 N. Roosevelt Blvd. In addition, discounted new membership fees for this not-for-profit organization are offered through November 16.

ICL President Gene Flynn said, "We want to share the joy of learning. Many of our members have been sharing their talents, expertise and skills for more than 10 years. Please come join us in these intelligent, informative discussions and lectures."

ICL offers peer-led non-credit courses, programs and social events year-round. Favorite course topics include history, current events, cultural exploration, arts and crafts and social games. Other events including tours and travel are popular.
