Democracy misstated

After reading Rich Lorimer's letter to Fencepost, I have to disagree with his statements. He says the country was founded as a democracy. I'm sorry to say it wasn't. It was founded as a Constitutional Republic.

This fact is 100% overlooked by Democrats. They seem to think America is a democracy where the majority rules and the minority has to live with whatever that majority decides. The Democrats want you to believe the misconception that we are a democracy. This country was founded on the idea that every citizen has an equal say in how the country is run. The current Democrats and RINOS don't seem to think that way because there's no money in it for them.

As for the First and Second Amendments, yes the Second Amendment does protect the First Amendment. It's there to protect every aspect of the Constitution. And it doesn't tell us what types of guns are legal or not legal.

Democrats seem to think the Second Amendment was not intended for the modern weapons of today. Well, the freedom to post online your opinions is free speech and it's no different than writing your opinion on a computer or with a quill pen and ink well.

Fascists are the Democrat party. They use the game plans of past communists; i.e., blame your opponent of doing what you are doing. And that's exactly what's been going on for decades in the Democrat party.

So, you may want to rethink some of your thoughts and study all the evidence that comes out of both parties before you blame either party for wrong doing.
