Cary-Grove Chamber hosts ribbon-cutting at New Directions Addictions Recovery Services

The Cary-Grove Area Chamber of Commerce, along with the Greater Crystal Lake Area and Woodstock Area chambers of commerce, recently co-hosted a ribbon-cutting to celebrate New Directions Addiction Recovery Services new home for their "A Way Out" program and their new administrative offices at 500 Coventry Lane, Suite 270, in Crystal Lake.

New Directions Addiction Recovery Services is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support the process of recovery from substance use disorders. Their vision for carrying that mission forward is to provide a broad network of much-needed services for those in recovery, and address substance abuse and addiction through advocacy, treatment, and continued support. The A Way Out program operates on behalf of the McHenry County State's Attorney's office and offers service to any resident of McHenry County who requests "a way out" of their current substance dependence and endeavors to provide participants access to resources that align with their personal recovery goals.

"We have four main principles that we uphold in all the work that we do; accessibility, sustainability, community support, and a consistent message," says Laura Turasky, New Directions development director. "In other words, we make sure that you know that no matter what, its never too late to take your life in New Directions."

"We are delighted to support New Directions Addiction Recovery Services as they embark on this new chapter in their mission to provide hope and healing to individuals battling addiction," stated Lynn Caccavallo, president of the Cary-Grove Area Chamber of Commerce. "Their commitment to transforming lives aligns seamlessly with our community's values, and we look forward to witnessing the positive impact they will continue to make."

In addition to the A Way Out program, New Directions Addiction Recovery Services offers several programs and services including sober living, New Directions Retreat and The Other Side Sober Cafe and Bar. Each program helps address different stages and aspects of the recovery process, and to serve different needs more fully within the recovery community.
