Glenbard Parent Series speaker to offer strategies to achieve work-life balance

On Thursday, Oct. 5, the Glenbard Parent Series: Navigating Healthy Families will present "Work, Parent, Thrive: How to Ditch Guilt, Manage Overwhelm, and Grow Connection" with Yael Schonbrun.

It will be offered at noon and 7 p.m. via Zoom. Go to glenbardgps.org for further information and the links to these two webinars.

Juggling the responsibilities of work and parenting can seem daunting. Schonbrun's research helps individuals learn to manage their career, parenting and marriage in more effective and fulfilling ways. She will detail ways to achieve a work-life balance and offer tips to help families discover new approaches to working and parenting. Participants will learn to create a work-family enrichment mindset. Schonbrun will also explain the function of guilt and how to effectively manage this emotion when it arises.

Continuing professional development units are available for these two events.

Schonbrun is a clinical psychologist, assistant professor at Brown University and co-host of "Psychologists Off the Clock." Her most recent book is "Work, Parent, Thrive: 12 Science-Backed Strategies to Ditch Guilt, Manage Overwhelm, and Grow Connection (When Everything Feels Like Too Much)."
