Three women charged with theft at Naperville Ulta Beauty store

Naperville police arrested three Chicago women charged with stealing from the downtown Ulta Beauty store.

Police were surveilling the city's two Ulta stores after they were notified Wednesday about a group in a black Mercedes that had stolen merchandise from two other Ulta stores in neighboring communities on Tuesday.

Police located the car at the downtown Naperville Ulta Beauty store and observed the women leaving the store with two baskets of allegedly stolen merchandise. Police were able to block the car from leaving and arrested the three women.

Jayla M. Alston, 20; Skylar Escoe, 19; and Darielle Wrice, 19, all of Chicago, were each charged with one count of felony burglary and two counts of felony retail theft. Wrice also was charged with attempted criminal damage to government property and driving without a valid license. Police said Wrice hit a Naperville squad with the Mercedes while trying to flee.

Police continue investigating the women's possible involvement in other retail thefts. Additional charges are pending, police said.
