Kane County Health Dept. asks you to fill out Community Health Assessment survey

The Kane County Health Department is asking for the community's assistance in identifying the healthcare needs of its residents and organizations.

The feedback through the 2023 Community Health Assessment survey will be used to guide the Kane County Health Department's and area health agencies efforts to improve public health and wellness initiatives.

The survey at www.kanehealth.com/Pages/CHA2023.aspx also will produce a Community Health Improvement Plan that will help diagnose major health concerns and gaps in services that may contribute to less than optimal health status for Kane County residents.

By implementing this plan, the health department aims to better the overall health and well-being of the community.

"The Community Health Assessment is conducted every three years," said Michael Isaacson, executive director. "This new data helps the KCHD and other agencies adapt programming and resources to best meet the needs of Kane County residents."

The Kane County Health Department encourages as many residents as possible to participate in the survey, which takes about 15 minutes to complete. The survey is available in English and Spanish at www.kanehealth.com/Pages/CHA2023.aspx.

Kane County's five hospitals, Advocate Health Care, Ascension Mercy, Ascension Saint Joseph, Northwestern Medicine/Delnor Hospital, and Rush-Copley Medical Center along with the INC Mental Health Alliance, have partnered with the Kane County Health Department in developing the Community Health Assessment.
