International Order of the Rainbow for Girls: Leadership and charity

The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, otherwise known as Rainbow or IORG, is a Masonic youth group for girls ages 10 to 21. It uses the seven colors of the rainbow to teach its members lessons for how to be a good and strong woman, member of society, friend and sister. The organization teaches its members - through the values of faith, hope, and charity- leadership skills, public speaking, confidence in themselves, and the importance of service.

Grand Worthy Advisor (or the state president) Nina Hernandez and her 2022-2023 Grand Family raised $26,685 for the Shriners Hospital Transportation Fund. With her- some of the girls of Friendship Assembly #100 - Hannah H, Jalyn K, Charli B, Samantha W, Madeline K, and Alex M all held state positions, were examples of leadership for the younger members, and helped raise money for the transportation fund. All of these girls, and Chloe W and Lily B, advanced to higher leadership roles for the upcoming 2023-2024 term in Rainbow, and we cannot wait to see the amazing work these girls will do!

Friendship Assembly meets in Glenview, however our members come from Chicago, Gurnee, Downers Grove, and various towns near these locations.
