Aurora officer commended for drug-trafficking investigations

Aurora police officer Matthew Huber, a special agent assigned to the DuPage Metropolitan Enforcement Group, has received two commendations from the Illinois MEG Directors Task Force Commanders Association.

DuMEG investigates illicit drug trafficking in DuPage County. In one case, Huber recovered 20,107 grams of cannabis, 19,098 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 269 grams of cocaine, more than 500 THC cartridges, six firearms and $303,524. Three people were charged.

In another case, he recovered 1,259 grams of cocaine, 4,575 grams of counterfeit Alprazolam pills, 260 grams of methamphetamine pills, other drugs, $18,513 and a pill press. One person was arrested.
