Hotel Indigo Naperville Riverwalk hosts more low key 'Brunch with Santa'

If you are looking for an alternative to a busy banquet-style "Breakfast with Santa" to share with family this season, Hotel Indigo Naperville Riverwalk has just the spot.

The hotel located at 120 Water St. in downtown Naperville will host a smaller, intimate breakfast with the big guy right before he heads back north, on Sunday, Dec. 17, in Plank Kitchen within the hotel.

Two seatings are available, at 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. Complimentary parking is available in the parking deck immediately outside the hotel's second-floor lobby.

The lavish unlimited buffet brunch will feature made-to order omelets, a carving station with roast turkey and glazed ham as well as oven roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes.

The brunch also will include fresh fruit, breakfast pastries, doughnuts, granola, yogurt, bagels and cream cheese, and a salad bar.

A Holiday sweet table will include assorted cookies, pies and candy well as a hot chocolate station with marshmallows, candies, and assorted toppings.

The adult buffet includes two mimosas per person, coffee, iced tea, apple and orange juices. A full cash bar and wine list is also available. Children's favorites include chicken tenders, Tater Tots, bow tie pasta with marinara sauce and mac n' cheese.

"We thought hosting a more low-key Santa meetup with brunch might be preferable for some families. Having it closer to Christmas might allow grandparents and out of town visitors to gather and enjoy," said Syed E. Hasan, general manager of Hotel Indigo. Santa will be available to hear wishes and pose for photos with guests. Cost is $59 and $35 for children, plus tax and gratuity. Children, age 4 or younger, are free.
