Story of Christmas comes to life at Lake Zurich church

The spirit of the season was in full effect Sunday, as thousands traveled to Lake Zurich for Quentin Road Baptist Church’s annual Christmas pageant.

The long-running tradition, a live stage production entitled “The Real Story of Christmas”, more than 300 performers, dozens of animal and Angels flying in from the rafters on zip-lines.

Among those wowed by the performance was Debbie Hovik of Grayslake, who attended with her grandchildren Ava Dempski and Logan Dempski of Libertyville.

“They came last year and loved it,” Hovik said. “So here we are in the front row this year.”
