Ignoring the risk

I want to thank Larry Eichman for his service during the Vietnam war. This is a man who understands what service means. His letter to the Herald printed in the Jan. 2 edition explains his choice for president is based on risks: that Biden’s age and his current VP makes for a riskier choice than Trump who is just about the same age. He lost me when he then totally discounted Trump’s attempt to overthrow the 2020 election claiming it was OK because Democratic politics are dirty and that Trump really loves America.

If Trump really loved America he would have accepted the will of the people, the 60+ denied court challenges, input from his inner circle and White House counsel and willingly conducted a peaceful transfer of power just like Eisenhower, Grant, Roosevelt, Truman and all the other Presidents did before Trump.

We have now see who Trump really is. So it’s difficult to understand how people cannot see this man as the greatest risk this country has faced since the Civil War.
