Cocoa Crawl to heat up Long Grove Feb. 10

Historic downtown Long Grove will transform into “Cocoa Town” for the seventh annual Cocoa Crawl from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10. Cocoa lovers are invited to sip complimentary hot cocoa samples at various outdoor tents while strolling around all afternoon either on foot or on complimentary horse-drawn trolley rides.

Participating merchants will offer more cocoa-inspired creations and cocoa themed-merchandise inside boutiques and shops. In addition, several Long Grove restaurants and beverage establishments will have cocoa-themed food and drinks for sale throughout the day and night.

The Cocoa Crawl is a fun, family-friendly event that underscores why Long Grove has been called one of America’s best small towns. People who attend the free event are directed to start at the Long Grove Visitor’s Center, 145 Old McHenry Road, where they can pick up a map of participating stores and restaurants, then “crawl” around town to as many spots as they like while enjoying hot cocoa sampling along the way. Long Grove’s complimentary horse-drawn trolley rides will be running during the day to add to the charm.

All Cocoa Crawl merchants are participating in a Cocoa Crawl Gift promotion; if Cocoa Crawlers spend at least $100 collectively at participating locations on Feb. 10, they will receive an official Cocoa Crawl mug from the Long Grove Visitor’s Center.
