Batavia United Way asking for valentines for seniors

The Batavia United Way is seeking the community’s help in creating handmade valentines cards to present to senior citizens residing in assisted living, rehabilitation, and long-term care facilities in Batavia.

They will be collecting homemade cards from Jan. 22 to Feb. 9 in a drop box located at the Batavia Chamber of Commerce, 106 W. Wilson St.

This is a great project for all ages. Senior citizens are vitally important to our community and this is a way to brighten their day.

If you have any questions or if you would like to indicate interest in participating, contact Batavia United Way at info@bataviaunitedway.org.

The Batavia United Way works with local government, businesses, area nonprofits, and our school district to form strong collaborations and partnerships. This collective expertise allows them to creatively address the ever-changing needs of the community and support Batavia community members specifically in the areas of education, health, and financial stability.
