High-powered weapons are too easy to get

Firearms were designed to kill. Vehicles were designed to transport. Yet, we demand more training and supervision of people to get a driver’s license than to carry a concealed firearm.

A 50-caliber weapon was designed to pierce the armor of the vehicles of enemy combatants. An M-16, AR-15 and the many variations of these weapons were designed to kill multiple enemy combatants. Yet, the NRA and its supporters claim it is their right to have these weapons, ignoring their responsibility to a society currently under siege by active shooter incidents.

My uncle hunted all his life using a bolt-action thirty-ought-six - he knew a responsible hunter only took clear, clean kill shots. And, he knew, Bambi doesn’t shoot back - just the fact, Jack.

I am an honorably discharged member of the United /States Army Military Police Corps, and was a member of the Military Police Corps Special Reactions Team. I was a Licensed Private Detective and worked in private investigations for over 20 years, able to carry a concealed weapon. I have been a state-certified firearms instructor. No, you cannot dismiss my concerns as someone who is simply anti-gun, which is what so many will do.
