Marmion Academy holds ribbon cutting, dedication for Regole Park

Marmion Academy in Aurora recently held a ribbon cutting and dedication for the newly renovated varsity baseball facility, Regole Park. The funding for this project was made possible by the generous bequest of Ed Regole, a 1950 graduate.

Regole was a treasured and committed friend of Marmion from the day he graduated until the day he died. He and his wife Vivienne’s generous support through the years allowed Marmion to make multiple and very impactful enhancements to its facilities, including the Regole Natatorium, the Regole Science Center, the Regole Field House, and most recently, Regole Stadium.

Not only did Ed Regole support Marmion with his generosity during his lifetime, but it was also very important to him to provide the academy with a “game-changing” gift upon his passing.

His generous bequest has allowed Marmion to make multiple, state-of-the-art renovations to its athletic facilities, benefiting six sports and the band program — renovations that will have a lasting impact on the Marmion community and on generations of students for years to come.

“Marmion was a special place to Ed; he considered his gifts through the years to be his legacy,” said Director of Planned Giving and longtime friend, Father Charles Reichenbacher, OSB ’59.

Construction of the new, artificial turf infield, new batting cages, and bullpen areas began in the spring of 2023 and were completed this year, just in time for the start of the season.
