Palatine Jaycees’ 2024 Hometown Fest — join the celebration

The Palatine Jaycees are busy planning this year’s Fourth of July Celebration and are looking for participants for both the Arts, Crafts and Business Expo as well as entrants in the annual parade.

Tens of thousands of community members are expected to attend the festival over the five-day celebration from Wednesday to Sunday, July 3-7.

This year’s event will include live music, a carnival, as well as food and beverages for patrons to enjoy every day. A fireworks show will be at dusk on Friday, July 5.

This year’s parade will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 6. It will feature the Palatine Public Library as Grand Marshal in celebration of their 100th anniversary.

“The goal is to highlight the best our community has to offer,” said parade chair Michael Quevillon.

“We want all of our local groups, businesses and individuals to have an opportunity to be seen,” added co-chair Megan O'Brien.
