Kane DuPage Soil and Water Conservation District Native Trees, Shrubs and Plant Sale: The order deadline for plants is May 17; order deadline for trees and shrubs has past. The digital catalog is available on the organization’s website, it can be printed if you choose. West Chicago Garden Club Plant Sale: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at Bloomingfest, in downtown at Main and Galena streets, West Chicago. More than 2,000 perennials, annuals, and a large selection of peppers and tomatoes for sale at very reasonable prices. Because the club’s purpose is to encourage gardening in the Western suburbs, they hold four “potting parties” in April and May where they divide and pot up plants from their own gardens.
