Roselle Public Library District taking applications for open board seat

The Roselle Public Library District board of trustees has announced a vacancy on the board, effective May 23, 2024, and is seeking applications from eligible residents who are interested in serving as a library trustee.

In order to be eligible, a person must be a qualified elector of the Roselle Public Library District; have resided in the district for at least one year at the time of application; and not be in arrears in the payment of property taxes or other indebtedness to the district, or have been convicted in any court in the U.S. of any infamous crime, bribery, perjury, or other felony.

The term of this seat expires in May 2025 and the successful applicant will be required to submit nominating papers for the April 1, 2025 Local Consolidated Election in order to continue to serve on the board.

Interested applicants may submit their letters of interest and resumes/CVs via email to boardoftrustees@rosellepld.org or via mail to the Roselle Public Library District, c/o Samantha Johnson, executive director.

Applicants are asked to indicate the following in their application materials:

1. Interest in the appointment

2. Qualifications and experience

3. Availability for regular board meetings and committee meetings

All applications must be received no later than Sunday, May 19. Trustees will review the applications on May 22, and select candidates for interviews during the regular board meeting on Wednesday, June 12.
