Kane County Coroner to hold memorial service for unclaimed individuals

Kane County Coroner Rob Russell, along with Pastor Talaat McNeely of Purpose City Church, will hold a memorial service for 29 unclaimed individuals whose cremated remains were left in the care of the Kane County Coroner’s Office.

Since 2013, the Coroner's Office has interred unclaimed remains as part of their commitment to ensure these individuals are treated with dignity and respect.

The nondenominational service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 30, at the St. Charles Township Cemetery North mausoleum, 1200 N. Fifth Ave. in St. Charles.

Unclaimed remains are those for which attempts to contact next of kin have been unsuccessful or where no one has come forward to claim them after being notified of a death.

Check the list below and contact the Coroner’s office at (630) 232-3535 if you are family and would like to claim the remains of a loved one.
