Élan Dance Company to present free Dance Showcase May 31
Company auditions set for Tuesday, May 28
Naperville Park District invites the community to the Élan Dance Company “2024 Showcase” on Friday, May 31 at Pfieffer Hall at 310 E. Benton Avenue near the campus of North Central College.
The showcase is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. It will feature a mix of dancing styles, including hip hop, jazz and ballet. Tickets for the event are not needed, however seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Élan Dance Company provides a fundamental foundation in dance performance and essential experience participating in a dance company. Dancers will have the opportunity to improve their techniques while learning important teamwork skills and having fun.
The dance company offers a competitive team and a performance-only team, and both companies participate in several performances throughout the year. The competitive team will participate in competitions as well.
Auditions for Élan Dance Company’s 2024-25 season will be held Tuesday, May 28, in Community Hall at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, 305 W. Jackson Ave.
Auditions will be 4:30 to 8 p.m. for ages 6-18, and audition times depend on age. Dancers must be 6 years old by Sept. 1, 2024 to audition. While auditions are free, registration is required.
