Rolling Meadows launching ‘Bites & Beats’ series May 22

Rolling Meadows’ new Bites & Beats on Kirchoff event series kicks off May 22, combining tasty food truck fare and live musical entertainment in the city’s downtown.

The events will take place monthly on the ground of Community Church of Rolling Meadows, 2720 Kirchoff Road. Future dates are June 26, July 24, Aug. 28, and Sept. 25.

Musical styles include bluegrass, blues, Brazilian, folk, funk, jazz, pop and steel drum, among others.

The city is coordinating food trucks with the assistance of Bensidoun USA, coordinator of Ravinia Food Truck Thursdays. Food trucks registered to take part include: Bellaru; Culinary Gangster; Holy Smokes BBQ; Johnny G’s Meat and Deli; My Funnel Truck; Nettle Creek BBQ; Panzi’z Italian Panzerotti House; The Happy Lobster; and Yum Dum.

Adult beverages, courtesy of Rolling Meadows businesses Phoenix Flame and Rep’s Place, will be available for purchase. No outside food or beverages are permitted.
