Fairfield Road planning study open house

The Lake County Division of Transportation is hosting a public meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 16 to provide preliminary details on a planning study for Fairfield Road from Round Lake Beach to Wauconda.

The meeting, at the Rolek Community Center, 814 Hart Road, Round Lake, will be held in an open house format and visitors can attend any time.

Exhibits will be on display and team members available to discuss and answer questions. The study will evaluate the corridor from Oakwood Drive to Gilmer Road for potential roadway, intersection and nonmotorized improvements.

Attendees will learn about existing conditions and goals and objectives for the study. Public comment will be accepted through June 16. Visit fairfieldroadstudy.com.
