MainStreet Libertyville Farmers Market Opens at 7 a.m. May 30

The 44th annual Libertyville Farmers Market will open on Thursday, May 30. Located in Cook Park at 413 N. Milwaukee Ave. and on west Church Street in downtown Libertyville, the market will be held on Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. beginning on May 30 and continuing through Oct. 17. (There is no market on June 13.)

Opening day festivities will begin at 9 a.m. at the MainStreet Libertyville tent in Cook Park with the official watermelon cutting ceremony, a long-standing tradition at the market.

With more than 45 vendors this year, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Shop weekly for seasonal produce, cheeses, dips, honey, sweets, bread, seafood, microgreens and other locally produced staples.

Farmers markets allow customers access to fresh, nutritious food by way of a short supply chain, and help support the local economy as well as growers and producers. A bounty of farm fresh produce, artisan foodstuffs, fresh flowers, and tasty baked creations awaits customers each week in Cook Park.
