Mundelein’s Beautification Committee invites community to Spring into Summer Family Festival

Mundelein’s Beautification Committee, in partnership with Tighthead Brewery, has planned a family friendly Spring into Summer Festival from noon to 4 p.m. on June 1 at Tighthead Brewery, 161 N. Archer Ave., Mundelein.

“We’re hoping this event will help to inform the community about the important work we’re doing on the Beautification Committee and provide information on simple sustainability practices we can all implement to make a significant positive impact in our community and our world,” Mundelein Trustee Jenny Berman Ross said.

Children's activities

• Dave DiNaso’s Famous Traveling World of Reptiles (a kid favorite)

• Face painting

• Fun craft activities

• Free popcorn and ice cream

• Butterfly hoto screen

• Reach Rescue; meet some furry friends

Other activities

• Seed and plant giveaways

• Food trucks

• Live Entertainment: School of Rock 2-4 p.m.

• Small gardening tools and flower pots exchange

• Ask A Master Gardener
