Mundelein’s Craft Beer Festival Anticipating Great Turnout, 50 Brewers On Hand

Mundelein’s 11th Annual Craft Beer Festival, presented by Mundelein Community Connection and Tighthead Brewing Company, will take place from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at Courtland Commons, 444 E. Courtland St., Mundelein. Tickets are $50 in advance and $55 at the door. Tickets are available online at EventBrite.com.

Designated driver tickets are $15. Attendance is limited to 2,000. Advance Tickets are available at Tighthead Brewery and Oak Trail Tap Room. Public parking is available at the Mundelein Metro Station, Kracklauer Park, and on-street in the neighborhood south of the festival area.

Price includes unlimited 3-ounce beer samples and a commemorative logo glass. More than 50 craft breweries will be on hand. The festival features free live music and great food available for purchase. Attendess must be 21 to enter and no pets allowed. Thanks to the close relationship with Bruce Dir of Tighthead, the Mundelein Craft Beer Festival has earned the reputation as a “brewers’ brew fest.”

Food Vendors are: Smokin BBQ on 45, Bills Pizza & Pub, Hitz Pizza and Tony Cannoli.

Sponsors include Oak Trails Taproom and Liquor Store, Mundelein Community Bank, Rise Dispensary Mundelein, Tighthead Brewery, Cardinal Square Apartments/Tres Realty, Gold Eagle Liquors, Rustik Tattoo and Perfect Brewing Supply.

“We are looking forward to once again welcoming a nice variety of craft breweries at the Craft Beer Festival. We have a reputation for treating the breweries well, so we have become a favorite destination for actual brewers and brewery representatives, which I think is also a big reason why we attract a dedicated group of attendees, as well. We are looking forward to hosting another great event this year,” said Bruce Dir, festival founder/host and owner-brewer of Tighthead Brewing Co.

The Craft Beer Festival will be held rain or shine.
