Fox Valley antiques show returns June 8 to DuPage County Fairground

Kick off the summer antiques show season on Saturday, June 8, at the second annual Fox Valley at the Fairgrounds Antiques Show in Wheaton.

Dealers from seven states will gather under one roof to present the best of Americana. It features Americana, folk art, quilts, decorative arts, primitives, patriotic antiques, early paintings, early textiles, antique samplers and weather vanes, and more.

The show will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the DuPage County Fairgrounds, 2015 Manchester Road in Wheaton.

The list of dealers includes:

Illinois: Acquired Taste, Black Scottie, Blessed Raven Antiques, Country Love Antiques, Devereux & Meade Antiques, Diana Eyre, Doig's Antiques, Heart in Hand Folk Art, Industrial Artifacts LLC, Lee Merrick Antiques, Liberty Tree, Stephen Reid Antiques, Suzanne Garner Vintage, The Way We Were, Turtle Creek Antiques and Virginia Larsen Antiques.

Indiana: Gray Granite Antiques, R.L. Myers Americana & Folk Art, and Suzanne Baker Antiques

Iowa: Colleen Boland Alpers, Dale Frese, Iowa City Art & Antiques, Thomas M. Rawson Antiques, and Tom van Deest Art/Objects

This show, hosted by the Chicago Suburban Antiques Dealers Association, was held for many decades at the Kane County Fairgrounds in St. Charles. The DuPage County Fairgrounds is now their new home. It has free parking, and there will be good food and plenty of comfortable seating. There is an ATM on-site.

Admission is $8 and it benefits historical preservation projects. Youth under age 15 get in free. For information, visit www.csada.com.
