Over 1,500 people join Corpus Christi Eucharistic Procession from St. Isaac Jogues to Notre Dame

Approximately 1,500 people joined the Corpus Christi Eucharistic Procession on Thursday, May 30, from St. Isaac Jogues in Hinsdale to Notre Dame in Clarendon Hills.

The communities gathered to celebrate the Eucharistic Revival by celebrating mass and then took a musical, one mile walk from St. Isaac Jogues to Notre Dame. This was the largest Eucharistic procession in the area.

This year, Father Francis Hoffman “Father. Rocky” of Relevant Radio was a special guest and preached the homily. Father Burke Masters, Pastor of St. Isaac Jogues, celebrated the Mass, with Father Rocky and Father Mark Bernhard, pastor of Notre Dame, concelebrating.

Immediately after the mass, the walk began, followed by Benediction, food, and fellowship.

“It was energizing to see about 1,500 people — of all ages — joining our one-mile procession between the parishes,” said Father Burke Masters. “It was a beautiful evening filled with uplifting music and prayers. We felt the presence of God and the Holy Spirit with us tonight. People left feeling great gratitude to our Lord Jesus Christ.”

“The whole event was inspiring and engaging,” said Father Rocky Hoffman. “The faith of those parishes is contagious.”

“The procession with our Lord was a beautiful expression of our faith,” said Father Mark Bernhard “I had a parishioner afterward tell me, ‘One of the best community experiences of the year. Such a powerful faith moment being surrounded by so many outside singing. We are blessed to live in a time and place where we have the freedom to do that procession.’”
