Sandwich Millworks has grand opening after acquisition

North Aurora-based Dunaway Brothers recently acquired Sandwich Millworks, based in Sugar Grove.

A grand opening of Sandwich Millworks’ new offices and showroom was held May 16.

Established in 2005, Dunaway Brothers is a leader in the construction and home improvement sectors. The company specializes in carpentry and decorating.

For over a quarter-century, Sandwich Millworks has been a purveyor of top-quality Marvin windows and doors.

“The Sandwich Millworks, a Division of Dunaway Brothers, new offices and showroom are beautiful,” said Jennifer Konen, Sugar Grove village president. “What they’ve done with it is amazing. Sugar Grove is an established, beautiful community, on the verge of some good growth. It’s been about 20 years since we’ve had a homebuilding boom, and we also need commercial growth. I know they do both the commercial and the residential side. So, for them, I think they're in a great market and an excellent location.”

Jackie Link, president of the Sugar Grove Chamber of Commerce, welcomed the new chamber business and invited customers to take a look at what Sandwich Millworks’ new offices and showroom have to offer.

“You know how they say you want to make a house a home? Obviously, that starts with windows and doors and walls,” Link said. “In talking with Jeff and David, you can tell that it means a lot to them when talking about their products and services and the art and craftsmanship that goes into their product. It is something truly remarkable.”
