CASA Kane County honored at Aurora Regional Chamber’s excellence celebration

CASA Kane County, a leading nonprofit organization serving the Aurora region, was honored with the Large Nonprofit Excellence Award at the Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce’s third annual Celebration of Business Excellence.

The May 23 ceremony recognized outstanding businesses and individuals who demonstrate strength, innovation, and leadership in their respective fields.

“We are humbled to be selected for an award in this category. We were among so many other deserving organizations who all do such incredible work for the greater Aurora community,” said Jim Di Ciaula, executive director of CASA Kane County. “We are grateful to the Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce for this prestigious honor and to our dedicated team and community for their support.”

The Business Excellence Awards celebrate achievements across eight categories: Small Nonprofit Excellence; Large Nonprofit Excellence; Micro Business Excellence; Small Business Excellence; Mid-Size Business Excellence; Large Business Excellence; Chamber Champion; and Servant Leader.

CASA Kane County was recognized for innovation, meeting community needs, and contributing toward the prosperity of the Aurora region, along with embodying the chamber’s core values: lead with energy and passion; make big impacts; put people first; value and embrace diversity; and “Innovate Always. Never Stop Learning.”

The award winners received a physical award and recognition at the celebration along with a spotlight in the chamber newsletter.

Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce

The Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce is the voice of and the catalyst for business success. We unite businesses with the community to create economic prosperity while facilitating connections with community leaders. For more than 100 years, we have served the greater Aurora region across four counties (DuPage, Kane, Kendall and Will), and currently represent nearly 600 businesses. CASA Kane County

CASA Kane County is a nonprofit organization that trains and supervises Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers who advocate for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse and neglect. Last year, more than 200 CASA volunteers served 100% of cases originating in Kane County (and a record 663) children who were fostered in Kane as well as many other counties.

CASA Kane County is currently seeking volunteers. Learn more by attending an online general informational meeting on: Tuesday, June 18, from 6 to 7 p.m.; Thursday, July 11, from 3 to 4 p.m.; Tuesday, July 23, from noon to 1 p.m.; Thursday, Aug. 1, from 3 to 4 p.m.; and Thursday, Aug. 22, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
