DAR scholarship winner Connor Anderson honored at state conference

The Elias Kent Kane Chapter, NSDAR recently announced that 2024 Elgin High School graduate Connor Anderson is the DAR Illinois State General Scholarship for District IV recipient.

The award was presented during a distinguished ceremony at the annual Youth Day Luncheon, hosted at the Illinois Daughters of the American Revolution State Conference in Bloomington.

The scholarship, a hallmark of academic achievement and patriotic dedication, is awarded annually to a deserving student who embodies the principles of the DAR through their commitment to education, community service, and American heritage.

Anderson, a shining example of academic excellence and civic engagement, impressed the selection committee with their outstanding achievements inside and outside the classroom. His dedication to scholarship and service reflects the core values of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is a lineage-based membership service organization for women who are directly descended from a person involved in the American Revolution.
