Sign up for Glen Ellyn Park District’s Freedom Four run/walk to benefit scholarship fund

Kick off your Fourth of July with a healthy tradition the whole family can enjoy!

The Freedom Four is a 4-mile run/walk that takes you on a scenic route around Lake Ellyn Park and the surrounding neighborhood. Whether you're a seasoned runner chasing a personal record or a casual walker enjoying the fresh air, this event welcomes everyone, ages 5 or up.

The Freedom Four goes beyond the finish line. It's about celebrating community spirit and supporting a great cause.

A portion of the proceeds benefits the Glen Ellyn Parks Foundation's Scholarship Fund, ensuring underprivileged families can access recreation and athletic programs offered through the Glen Ellyn Park District.

It will begin with a 7:30 a.m. start on Thursday, July 4, at Lake Ellyn Park, 645 Lenox Road, Glen Ellyn.

Registration fees are tiered to encourage early sign-ups. From now until June 24, it is $27. The price goes up to $32 until July 3, and it is $40 on race day (online or in-person).
