Country rock band Ginger Road at Izaak Walton Reserve on June 20

Hanover Township’s free Summer Concert Series will kick off on Thursday, June 20, at the Izaak Walton Reserve outdoor amphitheater, 899 Jay St., Elgin with a performance by Ginger Road at 7 p.m. The group is known for its high energy mix of modern and classic country and rock covers.

“We are excited to welcome everyone to our second annual concert series and join us as we celebrate the beginning of the summer season,” said Brian P. McGuire, Hanover Township supervisor. “Whether you’re walking the trails or playing at the baggo courts, these shows are truly for the entire family.”

Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to sit out and enjoy the concert. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase with proceeds benefiting youth programming.

Limited parking is available. Off-site parking is available at Huff Elementary School, 801 Hastings St., Elgin.

The concert series continues July 18 with a performance by the Fuze Band and on Aug. 15 with Rosie & The Rivets, the premier rock 'n' roll show.
