Over the years, I’ve sent numerous emails complimenting The Herald on the choice of front page pictures and articles — going all the way back to your printing the pictures of John Wayne Gacy’s victims rather than of him on the front page. I’m so disappointed in your choice of Saturday. June 1, to put a large picture of a convicted felon bashing our judicial system, despite being a former president.
If you must, use a small picture and article. He was convicted by a jury of his peers who were more than courageous compared to congressional politicians. Rather, President Joe Biden and his administration’s effort to offer a plan for peace was regulated to the second page.
Whether you care for him or not, Biden is our legitimate president, who has worked tirelessly in a divisive world, improved our economy compared to other countries, provided for repairing our infrastructure, worked on behalf of female justice as well as the union worker and middle class workers alike, has shown compassion for migrants, continues to deal with climate justice and provides support for NATO and our allies. Please acknowledge character when shown.
