Safely get rid of documents Saturday near Mundelein
Residents can safely dispose of unwanted documents on Saturday, June 22, near Mundelein.
Fremont Township officials are hosting a document-shredding event between 8:30 and 11:30 a.m. at the highway department headquarters, 22376 Erhart Road.
People can bring up to three boxes of documents to shred. Documents can be in boxes or paper bags but not plastic bags. Staples and paper clips don’t need to be removed.
Binders, hanging folders, magazines, coupons and junk mail won’t be accepted.
People should put the documents in the trunks of their cars. To keep things moving, no one will be allowed to exit their cars to watch shredding occur.
