Historic Garden Walk: 1 p.m. Sunday, June 30, at Wilmette Historical Museum, 609 Ridge Road, Wilmette. Join in exploring four Wilmette gardens and learn more about their unique designs and features, as well as the exterior architecture and history of their adjoining homes. Benefits the operating budget and special projects of the Wilmette Historical Museum. Tickets are $50 members; $60 nonmembers; $35 for students. Pollinator Party Drop-In: 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 30, at Indian Prairie Public Library, 401 Plainfield Road, Darien. Stop by Keshav's Garden for a celebration of pollinators hosted by the Darien Garden Club and Indian Prairie Public Library in honor of National Pollinator Month. Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation and DGC experts share knowledge, give advice on planting garden habitats for pollinators and other important insects. Tour the garden, taste veggies and herbs and volunteer in the DeKalb County Community Gardens/Northwestern Medicine Garden assisting with: Watering plants, seeding and planting veggies, harvesting for DCCG distribution, weeding. Long Grove-Kildeer Garden Club Garden Walk: 9 a.m. Friday, July 19, from Reed-Turner Woodland Nature Center, 3849 Old McHenry Road in Long Grove. The tour includes four different gardens, followed by an optional lunch at Reed-Turner Woodland Nature Center. Tickets are $30 with lunch; $20 without lunch. Tri-Village Garden Club Garden Walk: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 13. The Tri-Village Garden Club hosts a benefit garden walk, showcasing seven gardens created by local, community gardeners in Bartlett, Hanover Park and Streamwood. The gardens were hand selected by the club based on outstanding landscape design, use of perennial, annual and native flowers and overall visual impact. Club members will be on hand to answer questions and share gardening expertise. A garden boutique will also be part of the walk, with gardening-related items for sale. Advance tickets will be sold at Platt Hill Nursery, 222 W. Lake St., Bloomingdale; Banbury Fair, 211 W. Railroad Ave., Bartlett; Goebbert’s Farm & Garden Center, 40 W. The Roselle Park District Garden Club hosts its biennial House and Garden Walk featuring two unique homes and seven gardens. 'A Walk In The Shire' Lincolnshire Garden Walk: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 20, begins at Spring Lake Park, 49 Oxford Drive, Lincolnshire. Private Garden Tour: John Richter has opened his private garden in Warrenville to share the beauty of his various grafted trees and variegated bushes, thousands of day lilies from 10 different hybridizers, and over 750 different varieties of hostas, as well as numerous beautiful sculptures.
