Gary UMC Bible camps donate to missions

Kids as young as preschool donated to missions through Gary United Methodist Church’s two Bible camps this summer in Wheaton.

At “Scuba Vacation Bible School,” children donated more than $850 to World Vision to provide clean water for a year for about 170 kids in Honduras.

At the “Holiday BLAST Camp,” middle schoolers collected toys for Christmas Sharing of Wheaton Warrenville.

They also collected cake mixes, frosting and decorations for birthday bags for Kids Above All.

The church at 224 N. Main St. in Wheaton, offers 9 a.m. summer Sunday worship, complete with Kids’ Church and nursery care, plus livestreaming and recorded worship at garychurch.org. At 10 a.m., you can enjoy a coffee hour called “Special Blend.” The church will resume its 10 a.m. Sunday school hour for all ages and second service on Sept. 8.
