Post Office building is an eyesore

The U.S. Post Office property on Central Road in Mount Prospect is a disgrace to our town. In addition to the Postal Service raising rates in July, increasingly poor delivery service and limited personnel staffing the post office, the condition of the building is a mess.

This spring, the Mount Prospect Police Department had to issue them a summons to cut the grass, as the weeds were a foot tall in front of the building. Then this week, the trash receptacle in front of the building was overflowing with garbage all over the sidewalk. Looked like it had not been emptied in a month.

Our government buildings should put their best foot forward. Very poor representation for the village of Mount Prospect.
