Nicor work to affect roads, residents in Arlington Heights

Nicor Gas will begin a large-scale gas main replacement project beginning in mid-July that will impact traffic on Kirchhoff Road in Arlington Heights and affect surrounding residents.

All residents situated in the construction area will be receiving a notice in the mail with additional information regarding the project. For project related questions, residents can contact the Nicor project manager by emailing djpartil@southernco.com.

This project will require any gas meters currently located inside a home to be moved to an external location. Only a small population of Arlington Heights residents will be impacted, village officials say.

New gas main line will be installed along Kirchhoff Road from Dwyer Avenue to Central Road, and from Central Road to Burton Place. Drivers are asked to be mindful of traffic pattern changes.
