Des Plaines house hit by gunfire, no one hurt

Someone in a moving SUV shot at a woman in Des Plaines early Friday, missing her but hitting a house, police said.

The violence occurred about 1:30 a.m. on the 100 block of Dover Drive. No one was reported hurt.

A man in a parked Acura SUV was arguing with a woman there when gunshots were fired inside the vehicle, according to a news release.

After the woman got out and walked away, the man followed in the SUV and shot at her, police said.

The man then drove away, headed toward Pennsylvania Avenue, police said.

A front window of a house on the block was broken by the gunshot, police said.

A bullet hole also was found in a rear door of the house, but police don’t know if that was caused by the same bullet.

Descriptions of the shooter and his SUV weren’t available.
