Chicago Dogs fall to the Kane County Cougars in front of a sold-out Impact Field, 7-3

The second sellout of the week at Impact Field hosted 6,593 fans to see the Chicago Dogs and the Kane County Cougars play Saturday.

The Cougars beat the Dogs 7-3 in Rosemont.

Jake Carroll made his first start of his professional career in game two for the Dogs. The lefty pitcher previously played collegiately at Northwood University.

Carroll fell behind early in the first inning, allowing back to back doubles to Trendon Craig and Josh Allen.

Jonah Davis joined in on the Cougars’s big first inning, smoking a 3-run shot to left field, his 10th long ball of the year.

Following a rocky first inning, Carroll turned it around, throwing three consecutive scoreless innings, before allowing two runs in the fifth inning.
