Libertyville jumping into Dog Days of Summer

Canines bound into the air and made a big splash in a massive water tank to the delight of fans watching the Dock Dogs competition during the Dog Days of Summer at Cook Park in Libertyville Friday.

While some of the dogs, and their owners, who compete are “pros,” anyone can show up with their dog and participate, said CJ Fremouw of Dock Dogs.

“It's open to anyone, we don't bring the dogs, people bring the dogs,” Fremouw said. “Come at 9 o'clock with your dog's favorite toy — anyone can do this.

Dog Days of Summer continues through Sunday.
