Festival of the Vine kicks off Friday in Geneva

Cool temperatures and splendid weather greeted festivalgoers as they sipped wine and enjoyed “Flavor Fare” on Friday at the Festival of the Vine in downtown Geneva.

Initially a celebration of anything grown on a vine, the festival now revolves around food, wine and beer.

The event runs through Sunday on James Street, between Fourth and Fifth streets, in Geneva. The hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, and noon to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8.
