Lombard Park District hosts Touch-A-Truck event with new sensory hour

The Lombard Park District invites families and truck enthusiasts to its annual Touch-A-Truck event on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Lombard Common-Paradise Bay Water Park parking lot, 437 E. St. Charles Road.

Kids will have the opportunity to explore police cars, fire trucks, dump trucks, and more. There also will be a Kids Corner for fun games and activities.

This year, the park district is introducing a sensory hour designed specifically for children with sensory sensitivities. which will take place from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

“We are excited to expand Touch-A-Truck with a sensory hour this year,” said Nicole Kondraschow, marketing and communications manager. “Our goal is to ensure every child has a memorable experience.”
