Lake County Exchange Clubs host free prayer breakfast Nov. 26

The Exchange Club of Gurnee will host the One Nation Under God Annual Prayer Breakfast from 7:30- 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, at the Village Church of Gurnee, 1319 N. Hunt Club Road. The event is free and open to the public.

The program will feature presentation of colors by the Gurnee Fire Department Honor Guard; recognition of Detective Brandon Gullifor, 2023 Gurnee Police Officer of the Year, and Communications Operator Elizabeth Daley, 2023 Police Civilian of the Year; and guest speaker Steve Newton, chief deputy coroner for the Lake County Coroner’s Office and chairperson of the Lake County Suicide Prevention Task Force. The program will also recognize military veterans and their service to the country with a medley of patriotic songs by the Lakeshore Singers.

The Exchange is a national service organization working together to make communities better places through programs of service in Americanism, community service, youth activities, and its national project, the prevention of child abuse.
